Brenda opened her first salon in the Conroe area Groomingdales, in 1989. She sold the business five years later but within a year she realized that she couldn't stay away from what she truly loved. Bark Avenue Salon was opened in 1995, and is the longest established grooming salon in the area. By providing first class customer service and the highest possible quality grooming and animal care, Bark Avenue Salon, remains unsurpassed .

With 37 years of knowledge, experience in the grooming industry and highly qualified personnel by her side, Brenda offers a specialized approach to all the pets left in her care. Her soft words and gentle touch with all her grooming clients, including puppies, seniors and behaviorally challenged kids, assures her clients that their "babies" are in the best of hands. Be assured that at NO TIME will tranquilizers be used. Only lots of TLC.

The personnel employed by Brenda, are not only highly trained and qualified, but strive to exceed the high standards required to be a member of the Pet Care Specialist team at Bark Avenue. You will find them friendly, knowledgeable, informative and accommodating.

Continuing education is important to Brenda and all the Pet Care Specialists at Bark Avenue. They enthusiastically attend seminars to further their knowledge in the industry and to stay up to date on new and exciting products and techniques.

The Doggies and Divas Boutique was opened in 2008. Brenda has always had a passion for sewing, fashion and design. She is an accomplished European trained tailoress and will be introducing her own line of dog fashions, "Divalicous Couture" in the upcoming year 2010.

Pet Care Specialists

AMY Amy has proven that sunshine does come in the form of a smile. Her vast experience in both human and animal salon management and her expertise in both office skills and public relations, contributes to the overall smooth daily operations of Bark Avenue. She is a true animal lover, but has a special place in her heart for cats. With the special bond she shares with kitties, she is more then happy to make herself available, when the need arises, to assist with the handling of any of our feline friends that are in for their "Day at the Spa". Amy shares her life with husband, Patrick, and two rescue cats, Kitty and Yoshi. She loves reading, photo editing, video games and computers, but her real passion is teaching and she looks forward to someday working in the field of education.

RACHAEL Rachael began her employment at Bark Avenue as a pet bather. With her love for animals and desire to have a career in the animal industry, she is now learning to groom. Her expertise in bathing has contributed to her special way with each and every pet she handles. She looks forward to graduating in 2009, and looks towards a fulfilling career in grooming. Rachael and her husband, Justin, are parents to "Sonny" an orange tabby striped cat.

HEATHER
Heather, our certified bather, is the reason all the pets that leave Bark Avenue are not only looking their best with a stylish clip, but smelling "smooch able". Her love for animals is well understood by the dogs she handles on a daily basis. Bathing and blow drying may not be the highlight of their day for some dogs, but Heathers' comforting words makes the experience a lot more tolerable.
