Services

Bark Avenue uses only the finest quality products and each pet is bathed according to their individual needs.  We use a wonderful bathing system that combines shampoo and oxygenated water, which creates a relaxing, massaging motion to stimulate the skin and remove all dirt from both the skin and coat. 

We dry all pets by hand with dryers that blow the water off the coat, instead of cage drying and putting your pet at risk of overheating by using dryers with heating elements.  Our method of drying stimulates the skin and does not dry out the coat or skin with heat.

After a relaxing bath and blow dry we begin the grooming process.  We will then  give your pet the exact clip you requested and make him exceptionally beautiful.

Having your pet ready to go home when you arrive is very important to us, therefore, we groom by appointment only and do not accept walk-ins.  When you drop your pet off we will agree on a "Go Home" time and guarantee he will be ready when you arrive.  No more sitting and waiting for that "call when ready or sometime this afternoon" phone call.  You can then plan your day as we realize that your time is valuable, too.

To make sure that your pet is comfortable throughout the day , all pets are taken out for  "Potty Runs" and water is always available.  We will not give your dog a treat without your permission and, of course, he can always bring a little snack from home.

Grooming Service

Brush out, bathing, hand drying, ear cleaning and hair removal, clip and dremel toenails, anal glands expressed, grooming style you have requested, bows, bandanas, or bowties and an all natural treat for the ride home.

We are very attentive during the bathing and grooming process. If we notice anything that we feel needs to be brought to your attention or may need your veterinarians' attention, we will make you aware of such at pick up time, or if need be, prior to that by phone.

Bathing Service

A bandana, bow or bowtie and an all natural treat for the ride home. 

Carding, dematting, dental hygiene package, specialty shampoos and coat coloring  will be in addition to the base price of both the bathing and grooming services.

Dental Hygiene Treatment

Includes brushing, flossing with animal friendly equipment, mouthwash, and finishing with a tartar and plaque application of Petzlife. The remainder of the bottle will go home with your pet, to continue a maintenance program of prevention. This procedure is NOT cleaning, which should be done by your veterinarian. However, it can help minimize dental issues and expense. and your pet will not have to go thru the pain of having bad teeth or worse, tooth extraction. Coat Coloring

We offer full body or just a touch of color for those special occasions. We use vegetable based colors only, making the color temporary and the application safe for your best friend.


Dematting

Although some pets may have to be clipped very short due to extreme matting, if you request to have your pets' coat dematted and detangled, it does not have to be a "torture treatment" when done properly by professionals. The coat and skin will be examined by one of our Pet Specialist to determine if dematting is possible. If so, with true concern for your pets' comfort and safety, our specialized tools and expertise, your pet will look his very best.
